The Odisha Government has launched a revolutionary initiative called the Ama Saathi WhatsApp Chatbot, giving citizens access to more than 120 government services on a single WhatsApp number – 9437292000. Announced on 26th September 2025 by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, this digital platform is developed by the Centre for Modernising Government Initiative (CMGI) in collaboration with Meta. With this, Odisha becomes the second state in India, after Andhra Pradesh, to partner with Meta for citizen services.
Through Ama Saathi, over 4.5 crore citizens of Odisha can easily avail services like birth and income certificates, driving licence applications, fertiliser licence, intercaste marriage certificate, grievance redressal, land record checking, police assistance, educational schemes, and agricultural services — all from their smartphones without visiting government offices.
